A Warm Welcome From Naomi and Mathew Wiggans

We’d love to share how Little Brambles began.

Naomi’s journey in education started in 2006. When I studied Level 3 Early Years at college, I gained experience in a range of nurseries and primary schools; it was there that I discovered my passion for learning and teaching. I went on to complete a BA (Hons) in Secondary English with Qualified Teacher Status.

From my first teaching post, I took on opportunities to support others as a mentor and coach, and later as a professional mentor. I became Head of English, oversaw the school library and completed my NPQ in Leading Teaching and Learning. Each role strengthened my belief that learning is about more than what happens in a classroom: it’s about nurturing confidence, curiosity and a love of discovering new things.

When our first child, Jacob, was born in 2022, I took some time away from work. It gave Mathew and me the chance to think about what might come next. Opening our own nursery had always been my dream, and together we began looking for the right place to bring it to life.

We’ve loved building Little Brambles from the ground up, making sure little ones are at the heart of every decision. From Rowan’s Rooftop, named for our youngest, to Jacob’s Promise, inspired by our first child, our family is woven into the story of the nursery.

We believe every child deserves a place where they feel safe, valued and free to learn in their own way. Little Brambles is a dream built by our family, with yours in mind.
