Day-to-Day Essentials

Nursery backpack with a comfort heart representing starting and settling in

Starting & Settling In

Settling in is shaped around each child. Short visits build familiarity with their room and key person, and we work with you to understand your child’s routines, comfort items and interests.

Authorised collector pass representing arrivals and collection

Arrivals & Collection

Tell us in advance if someone different will collect. Share their full name and agree a password; the collector should bring photo identification.

Allergy-aware meal plate representing meals and allergies

Meals & Allergies

Before your child starts, give us full details of allergies, intolerances, dietary preferences and any prescribed emergency medication. We will agree the risk assessment with you.

First-aid kit representing accidents and first aid

Accidents & First Aid

Keep your emergency contact details up to date. We will explain any accident or incident and ask you to read and acknowledge the record.

Policies & Documents

Safeguarding & Safety

How we protect children, recognise concerns and maintain a safe nursery culture.

We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare through building a safe organisational culture. Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.

Daily Operations

Clear arrangements for safe arrivals, authorised collection and the end of each nursery day.

Alternative collectors must be agreed in advance; photo identification and a password are required where possible. Children are released only to a known parent or an agreed adult.

Health & Wellbeing

From allergies and first aid to emotional wellbeing, our care is shaped around each child. Our calming Nurture Room is available throughout the day whenever a child needs space to rest, share a story or reset.

Before a child starts, we collect information about dietary requirements, preferences, allergies and intolerances. Known allergies are supported through a risk assessment completed with the parent.

Children are comforted first, cared for by trained paediatric first aiders, and parents are kept informed. Accidents and incidents are recorded.

Fees & Funding

Governance & Legal

How we handle personal information, maintain confidentiality and respond fairly to concerns or complaints.

Family information is stored securely and shared only on a need-to-know basis.

Parents should first speak with their child’s key person or a senior member of staff. Unresolved complaints are investigated by the Nursery Manager.
